The history of Michelin's involvement in off road racing and the long history of the S12 XC dirt bike tire makes for a competition ready tire that you can trust to get you to the finish line. The Michelin S12 XC tire was strictly designed for traction in soft terrain. The newest S12 XC tire takes it a step further and improved the durability in conjunction with better grip. The reformulated rubber mixture on the S12 XC improves durability by at least 25% from previous Michelin tires. A championship tire needs to transmit feedback efficiently and Michelin improved this on the S12 XC with a redesigned casing by adding a ply and adding thickness to the sidewalls in the bead area. Maintaining the proven tread pattern was exactly what Michelin did with the S12 XC tire. The shoulder pattern promotes cornering stability, while the tall, narrow knobs on the S12 XC provide great penetration into muddy conditions. To boost rear wheel traction on the S12 XC rear tire Michelin redesigned the casing. Note: the Michelin S12 XC tire is sold individually. Metric Size: 130/70-19

"I love this tire. I have tried many tires over the years, and sure they all work, but the S12 works great. When riding in wet to soft soil, this tire performs well. However like any other tire, if you ride on hard packed dirt and such the tire will wear. Its a soft compound tire for a reason, to be ridden in soft soil, sand, mud, etc. Only thing I see being an issue, is that I wish they had a wider size for 19' rims."

This is a great tire!

"The XC S12 is a great tire and handles all terrains like no other I have raced. I am on my third one and wished I had tried it before purchasing a spare wheel...don't need it now. The tire is challenged a bit in hardpack corners with a spinkling of sand, but what tire isn't? With a reversible tread pattern, the durability has been outstanding compared to others."
