"This tool is so shoody built it stripped the threads on the 1st use. It was a total waste of my time and money. I was not able to push 1 pin out and had to buy another tool so i could put my bike back together"

worst chain breaker ever

"I purchased this tool then used it to take the links out of a stock chain, the needle bent. Pressed the rivets into the masterlink the needle on the pressing tool ended sinking into the tool. Then went to go press the rivets on the needle bent again.

All in all i wouldnt buy on of these unless they were selling them for 5 dollars shipped"

"Used this chain to break and then rivet some DID 520 o-ring chain, unit broke the chain with no issues, and it riveted the chain, but I wish it had come with some instructions, the black adapter in the kit looks like it is to be used to help press the chain together so you can then rivet the chain, but it does not work. Nothing broke and I was able to rivet my chain, but this tool needs instructions, maybe more parts, and there is no support that I can find for HP tools on the web. If you only have to break and rivet a chain every now and then, this will do the job. If you have a shop, look for a better tool."

"very heavy duty, only problem is some of the parts it comes with don't fit on it and the needle to rivet a chain bends no matter what pressure you put on it. go with a DID chain press and rivet tool if you need one, a little more money now but a lot less of a headache in the long run."
